Bristol, Tenn. – The King University women's volleyball team showed resilience, poise and late-match toughness on Saturday morning, storming back from an 0–2 deficit to complete a reverse sweep over Chowan inside the Student Center Complex. The Tornado flipped the momentum beginning in the third set and surged through the final frames to secure a 3–2 victory, marking their second straight Conference Carolinas win.
King (7–3, 2–1 CC) posted 58 kills on .148 hitting and out-dug Chowan 87–78, while the Hawks (2–8, 1–2 CC) countered with 47 kills on .131 hitting and 14 aces. After dropping the first two sets 22–25 and 18–25, the Tornado responded with three straight frames of improved offensive rhythm and timely defensive stands to close out the match 25–19, 25–23, 15–13.
