In this 2017 file photo, Larry Conger is shown in his workshop. He turned it into a miniature historical museum of school and personal memorabilia. Conger has a love for photography as he holds a vintage 4x5 Crown Graphic camera belonging to the high school.

Larry Conger, who worked as head of maintenance at Hickory High School, died this week.

Conger tested positive for COVID-19 on Dec. 27 and went into the hospital on Jan. 1.

A story detailing Larry's life and loves appeared in the Jan. 30 edition of the Hickory Daily Record.

Here is a link to that story.
