The Hickory Police Department is currently investigating allegations of a sexual assault at Hickory High School on Dec. 3.

Deputy Chief Reed Baer said the incident involves two students.

“The investigation is ongoing,” Baer said.

Hickory Public Schools Superintendent Robbie Adell declined to comment on the incident.

“Being that it is a HPD (Hickory Police Department) ongoing investigation involving minors, the superintendent has no comment at this time,” Beverly Snowden, director of communications with Hickory Public Schools, said.

No charges have been filed in this case as of Thursday, according to Sgt. Jeff Medley with the Hickory Police Department.
